I have Vonage too but why in the world would you want to listen to your voicemail via the Axim? Wouldn't it be easier to simply call Vonage and listen to your voicemail from say a mobile phone?

I suppose if you get hundreds of messages a day, then yes, the visual voicemail is nice to have.
If it's just an mp3 file, have you tried using another media player like TCPMP and associate the .mp3 extension to it. That way, opening any mp3 file will launch TCPMP instead of WMP.
