vonage message files

Has anyone been able to listen to their vonage message files? They are mpg files, but for some reason Windows Media Player does not work on my axim running WM5

anyone ? I can't be the only one with vonage!!!!

I have Vonage too but why in the world would you want to listen to your voicemail via the Axim? Wouldn't it be easier to simply call Vonage and listen to your voicemail from say a mobile phone? :) I suppose if you get hundreds of messages a day, then yes, the visual voicemail is nice to have.

If it's just an mp3 file, have you tried using another media player like TCPMP and associate the .mp3 extension to it. That way, opening any mp3 file will launch TCPMP instead of WMP.

It's like the biggest VOIP provider with a few million subs, so I would hope it works :-). To me at least, voice quality is quite good.

Simple... I have wifi connectivity and can't call (at that moment) or I am long distance from my vonage access number.

Its not a replacement, but an alternative.
