Hi all,

Thank you for all the work done, that's really cool ;-)

Just a problem for me... on a HTC Diamond Runing WM6.

I installed TCPMP 0.72 RC1 + TCPMP MASTER CODEC PACK2

But I still can't play downloaded .flv files in TCPMP. It show me a black screen and stop playing...

Can somebody know why ?

Thank's a lot in advance,

Geoffrey

Geoffrey:

I did the same as you and forgot to try the FLV file types. Tried it this morning and I have the same problem. I have my file associations set for "Flash Video" but nothing different happens.

I hope we can get an answer...

Glad you posted this since I forgot about it.

Rick

Hey I have a question, not sure if it was answered in another thread:

If I have an avi or mpeg movie I want to watch on my Axim X30, will it play on my Axim, or do I need to convert it to a specific file type or specific resolution?

Reply to "Rickgig" and "Geof073":

If you have an .flv file on your PPC, and you cannot play it even with the codecs installed, don't worry, it's not your fault. There are some codecs for flv's that simply do not exist yet. The ON2 VP6 codec, and certain types of apple video codecs to name a few. If this is the case, don't panic, just convert the offending file into a viewable one, either by downloading it in high-res as a .mp4 off youtube, or converting it using vixy.net's online converter, or SUPER or another video converter program. The same rules apply if you can see video, but cannot hear any audio.

Sorry, I cannot upload it to one of these services. You can download it just fine off mediafire, if there are file extension issues, just save it as it's proper file type. this is NOT a WIN32 program, it is for Windows mobile 5.0 or 6.1.

You should be able to play any type of multimedia file on your PPC regardless of the resolution, although the bitrate may cause issues if it is too high. The only time you should be experiencing a playback issue is if the proper codecs are not available. Otherwise playback should pose no problems.

Just want to chime in with another thank you for Unit Zero. The codec package worked like a charm. This saves me so much time and frustration.

Here's the thing... Subtitles work fine on the beta version 0.81.
On the other hand the subtitle plugin for version 0.72 is just CRAP!!
It cannot show subs over the video nomatter what the settings and video driver i'm using.
If only i could get the subtitle plugin for version 0.81 work on 0.72.... but it wont work.
Also, version 0.81 starts in portrait mode every time and it doesn't seems to me that it is as complete as the 0.72 with all of its plugins installed. Perhaps mp4 is performing better than 0.72, but the subs plugin on 0.81 really is superb!

So here's my only question....!!!!
Does anyone have a subtitle plugin for tcpmp version 0.72 that can display the subs over the video (i.e. working plugin)????
Thank you!
