Hi! Thanks Unit Zero for putting this pack together!
This pack worked great on my old Wizard (WM5, TCPMP .71).
But I just upgraded to the Sprint Touch and after installing the Master Codec Pack 2, TCPMP crashes when I open it. (TCPMP .72, Codec Pack 2, WM6.1...rom flashed with latest official Sprint rom that releases the GPS).
just found this thread. I'm doing a full reboot of my Axim (x50) and I am having a bit of trouble. The codec pack won't install. I get the same error that I've seen reported here, "Setup failed."
I have TCPMP 0.72RC1 installed and it works just fine.

Manual Installation (reply to mellojoe)
I guess for anyone experiencing difficulties using the installation package, you may want to download the ZIP package I have posted, and install all your codecs manually into the TCPMP program folder (the .plg files) it's a pain, but for now this is the only viable solution I can offer.
I've never been able to run youtube videos on my Axim x30 even though tcpmp works fine playing music and video that's already on my Axim. I took all the codecs and put them in the tcpmp folder after extracting them from the zip (I get message RTSP protocol not supported") and also tried installing from the cab but get the message "Unit ZERO TCPMP Master codec Pack 3 was not installed successfully. Please run Setup again." which also didn't work.
Any advice to get this going would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm afraid the installers were designed for Windows Mobile 5 or higher, but in order to install the codecs into yoiur device, try downloading the ZIP package for windows mobile 6, and placing the contents into the TCPMP program folder on your device.
I have all the latest codecs.
I was only missing a couple, and everything else was up to date.
I've recently gotten something that I can download YouTube videos with, but some of the FLV files won't play. TCPMP tries to play them, the slider jumps and plays a little or just jumps to the end, and when I click the stop button I get a pop-up "Players video codec () not supported by the player"
I'm using TCPMP 0.72RC1.

Not sure what that means, I have had no problems whatsoever so far, try directly downloading the file to your device, then playing it, there may be an issue with streaming.

I have an app called WVM that downloads from YouTube and some other streaming video sites.
Some of the files that are FLVs play fine, and some of the FLVs don't.
I get a pop up that says something about a problem with the video codec.
Its goofy, because it happens with some, but not all.
Don't know if this will generate subtitles but I watch foreign movies and NEED the subtitles. I've downloaded the zip file but don't know what to do with it. I'm not sure if this patch works with the Core Player. Subtitles aside I do not have any other problem with other file extensions nor use any that have exotic extensions.

Still no luck in getting youtube videos to play but as far as using tmpgenc as an mp3 player for my Pocket pc 2003 device I have a few questions. I prefer it because it allows me to program the buttons, which many programs don't. My problem is when I'm driving the print is so small it can't be seen. Is there a way (or another free program) that simply shows the songs name. It's a shame to have that big black screen and the tiny little area for song and duration. Any other skins? Or maybe a general workaround increasing the whole Axims font size when I use this program? Thanks

I'm fairly certain that most subtitled video files have the subtitles in the video stream, the ones that have subtitles as an option, most likely have them loaded as a separate subtitle file, and as such will be quite different from a typical video file. Just search for "subtitled" versions of the files you want , and you should get somewhere...

Sorry, but I'm afraid your post is a bit off-topic for this thread, perhaps one of the others may be more appropriate...
Ok so i have 0.72RC1 on a windows mobile 2003 SE PPC and i was unable to install the codec pack.
I did the manual install by copying all the .plg files to the TCPMP folder on my device.
TCPMP is unable to play mp3 files for some reason. there is no error message and it loads the correct play time and everything there is just no sound.
WMP plays this file fine so i know it has nothing to do with hardware or the file itself. Is there someplace else i need to copy the .plg files other than the TCPMP folder?
