Deleting music from Windows Media player

I have a Dell Axim X50 and I downloaded about 100 songs onto my device. Well I have deleted them from my SD card and from the device but the files are still showing up in my "All Music" tab. When I select the song to play the device says that there it can not play it from the playlist. I am trying to clear my All music tab. I know the songs aren't there because I have deleted them. Every time I delete the list, after I close it and reopen it, poof, the list is there again!!!! HELP. How do I clear this ever annoying list.

Try this: from the library screen in WM Player tap on the right softkey and then "update library".

Did that help?

No that does not help either. I just sat and deleted every song and thought I was making progress because I would hit the back tab and then go into the library tab and the titles I deleted were gone. I deleted all of them, exited from WMP, then opened it back up and THEY WERE ALL THERE!!!!

Still can't get it. Here's what I am doing. WMP is open. I touch on the menu soft key and touch the "library" soft key. Under the library tab there is "SD Card" I tap on it and there is "my music." Then "All music." And there are all the songs that i deleted shoeing up again. I took my SD card out and tried all this again and the list is gone. I am assuming that they are showing up from my SD card? Now under active sync I tab under the SD card and I see no music files on it. Why is the list still showing up when I insert my SD card but can't play the music and why aren't the files showing up on the SD Card?

Maybe you have done this, when the songs show up again tap and
hold a song and you get choice of play/queue up/delete from library/
properties, try delete option and see what happens.
That's what I had to do to keep them from coming back even though
I had deleted them from sd card.

If you remove the SD card altogether and fire up WMP
does it still show up?
If it does then there must be a file created to reflect
past library stacks.

What if you start WMP goto menu/library/my playlists/menu/update library
then if there is no music file the updated playlist should reflect that fact.

Is the SD-card write-protected?

Well after messing with it, I just decided to swap out one SD card for the other and that fixed it. Thanks for all the help.
