uPNP DivX player for WM5/WM6?
Hi all,

Please forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere - I have tried searching, but could not find this answered...

From what I can tell, there is NO uPNP-capable media player available that will play divx/xvid video files on a WM5 or WM6 PPC?

- Pocket Player 3.5 is excellent, but dependent on WMP10's inbuilt decoding capabilities i.e. no divx/xvid.

- Nero mobile is rubbish

- Rudeo play and control appears to be for music only?

I know Coreplayer 1.2 is due to add uPNP capabilities, but I'm not sure when it's due. Is there ANYTHING out there that I can use instead?

I'm running a Dell Axim X51v, A12 ROM.

Thanks in advance,

Leeko

no, currently, you can't - as has also been explained in my UPnP Bible. CP1.2 will be your lifesaver - if it contains a DECENT UPnP implementation, that is. Fortunately, it will be released in a month. (If it is.)

I don't know if this is relavent, but I can play video files with a ".divx" extension on my PPC just fine, and I have the same device as "leeko". I am using TCPMP, version 0.72RC1, along with my Master codec Pack.

Hi Unit Zero,

Yes, I can play almost any video file on my PPC using TCPMP, either from CF card or over a network file share.

My question was related to video players that use the upnp specification to allow the player itself to see the networked content (rather than using file explorer to find it). It's maybe a small difference, but it would be nice!
