Aximsitex50icon Coreplayer...the software that never fails to fail

I just got the new version of Core Player (1.1.3, I believe). And a full year and a half after I purchased this program, it still fails to stream MMS, and apparently won't for some time...SOMETHING THE FREE TCPMP COULD DO SINCE NEW ORLEANS WAS A THRIVING CITY ON THE MISSISSIPPI, AND PEOPLE THOUGHT "W" WAS SMART! In other words, for a LONG time!

Now we hear it'll be "between version 1.2 and 1.5" when they add in THE SAME FREAKIN' SUPPORT THE FREE PLAYER HAD! I repeat guys, HAVE YOUR CODERS EVER HEARD OF COPY AND PASTE????!!!!!!

why would copying and pasting from one code base to another code base help

If TCPMP does something that core doesn't then install both and set the file associations for the app you want.

(and your caps lock key appears to be broken)
This week I have been mostly listening to..... Short cummings audio

I suggest copying the TCPMP code, WHICH WORKS, and starting from there with anything new! START WITH WHAT WORKS! And "Caps Lock" ain't broken. I'm freakin' YELLING that these guys who can't, after a year and a half, make a paid program work as well as a legacy free one. And you know what? If you've paid them money, YOU SHOULD YELL TOO!

Did anyone ever think W was smart!!!?

As for yelling, it always work better to, speak quietly and carry a big stick.

Actually Coreplayer does work way better on my Hermes class device than TCPMP did. ..

I bought coreplayer as i'd never got round to making a donation to TCPMP (although it was on my to do list)... I suspect a lot of people did the same. If the combination of the 2 bits of software works, then everyone's a winner.

(and please DO get that caps lock key fixed... or yell on the right forum)

THis is the multimedia forum. Isn't that "the right forum"? But you're right, I assumed that my experiences with my X51v were universal...obviously unfair.

Still, IT SHOULD WORK after this amount of time!

Sorry Mike, i wasn't clear. My fault entirely

What I meant was if you want to discuss it then this is exactly the right place. If you want to yell at someone.. then yell at coreplayer in their forums.

The biggest problem with coreplayer is that it promises so many new features. Some of which haven't been delivered yet, and are probably months (years?) away. For what it is, it's pretty awesome but it is incredibly frustrating knowing what we haven't got yet...

If only they had an extra few programmers... they could conquer the world by the time they get to version 2.0

I think he means that there is a place for political opinions in the P&R forum.
