AVI to DVD

My daughter made some vids on a kid's camcorder. It records in AVI and we want her school to be able to play it on a laptop. How do I convert it to DVD format?
Thanks

Doesn't Windows Media Player recognize it okay? I have some AVI files I use for lectures at school and all I do is take my laptop to class, plug it into the AV equipment and play the videos.

Windows Media recognizes it on my win2k machine, but not my Vista. When my daughter brings it to school I want to make sure the school can play it without adding codecs and such. The videos are on my web page Pet Silliness one and two.

Will this work?

DVD Creator Software - Create DVD movie from AVI,MPEG,WMV,MOV,MP4

I use AoA's DVD Ripper software and it works great. I think you can download a trial version of the dvdcreator software and see if it will do the job for you.
