I quite like the free Fairuse LE... or the commercial spb software.

a card reader to transfer,
and then use tcpmp or coreplayer to play them back

I'm currently using Spb Mobile which is awesome :approve:

I've also used DVD2PPC which does the job as well.

You can find the links via my View MyPDA page

Thanks to both of you. I just purchased CorePlayer, so I am looking forward to using it.

Just one other thought, will I have a problem trying to convert a commercial DVD, or is that not an issue converting to a PPC format?

Thanks again.

I agree with psionandy. I have used Fairuse with a card read for transfer and tcpmp with great success.

DVD Cat is pretty good as is SPB Softwarehouse's product. But Fairuse Light Edition was the easiest freeware way to go back in the day. Basically it creates a DivX file which can be played on TCPMP another freeware product with the right codecs. Coreplayer also supports DivX.

No, no issues converting commercial DVDs: however, you can try both Spb & DVD2PPC before you buy. That should give you confidence in the product and help you decide which is best for you.
