"error in audio" in pocket mvp
I followed the encoding with divx guide to the letter to send video to my axim but when I tried to play it, it says "Error in audio" within a window that says "Wave open error" error. I'm using the lame mp3 settings, any ideas on what could be doing it?

I have exactly the same problem "Wave open error", now using PocketDivX instead of MVP.
I have just upgraded to PPC2003. With the old PPC2002 I had no problems with DivX's I encoded.
When installing PocketDivX it asks if I want to overwrite 'gx.dll' with the one supplied with PocketDivX. I answer 'No' since it's a lot older than the one supplied with PPC2003. Could this be the problem - anyone?
Cheers.

Hey, it seems like I can answer the question my self.
According to forums at projectmayo.com, there is not a chance in hell to get PocketDiwX to run with WM2003.
Now what then? Get an update (.8.092303) of PocketMVP here http://home.adelphia.net/~mdukette/kits/PocketPC.zip
I actually believed the PocketMVP was dead - byt hey - no way, they are very much at live at www.pocketmvp.com.

Load error
I updated Pocket MVP, but now its telling me "Load error: Falied to load file, Please check available meory." The video file that i'm attempting to load into it is about 160Mb, do i need to split it up into smaller files that will fit in the available ram?

NVM bout the memory error
I accidentally copied a directory of files to my PDA, so there was no available memory for the programs to use. I delted the directory and gave the applications more memory (the arrow is on the left side on the memory silder), and it works! Even has sound too. Follow the link below to get the updated Pocket MVP for PPC 2003 if your having divx errors, then it will work if you follow the encoding guide at the top of the multimedia forums.:D

I have had the same problem as you guys. I use the lame mp3 encoder and I have never gotten audio to work on pocket divx or pocketmvp. so i gave up and use the WMP9 encoder. Its not as good, can't make as small as files, and video quality is not as sharp, but audio works and video is tolerable. It makes it really easy to convert things. Its like 5 clicks of the mouse and you are on your way.
