I was just wondering if anyone had heard whether or not WinAMP would be making a PPC version of their mp3 player. I sure hope so. *grins*

Wow! That looks pretty snazzy. Have you tried it out? If so, I would like to know what you think.

Also, I was curious if withMP3 was skin-able?

[i really wish they would just code a winCE version of winAMP. couldn't they take one of there older versions and just recompile it? (wishfull)]

Thanks for the reply,
*kevin

Yes, I'm sure a port of old WinAmp would be doable, just as long as they keep .ogg support in there.

On that topic: does anyone know of a decent player (untill we get WinAmp) that handles .ogg music files?

I use withMP3, its nice, I like it and havent had any trouble with playback or anything like that, just sometimes I think it could have a batter playlist editor or something, or maybe I just got used to the media players one, I do not think it is skinable at this time, maybe a future version, I'm gonna keep a look out on their website, and maybe e-mail the company tell them they need to make it skinable ;)

That's what I'm trying to figure out, I just left the question on their forum. I'll respond here with an answer when I get one.

Here is the response from WithMP3 in their forum

Question:
Does withMP3 support streams such as shoutcast?

Answer:
Now, withMP3 didn't support network stream.
But, we will support it in next version.

Hey NMkiD, you seem to know all about these Mp3 players.

This is a newbie question, but I can't see my playlist. I was using pocket music, switched over to withMp3, couldn't see the playlist in either of them. I could hear the music fine, just don't know the title of what is playing. Is there some setting I am overlooking???

Actually this is the reason I uninstalled withMP3, I was having problems seeing the playlist too. With PocketMusic I didnt have any trouble tho, so thats just the one I'm using right now, I think they both just need an update badly. Sorry I couldnt help more on that.

Hmmm, now that I think about it, the playlist might not just display the title of the mp3, but some more info encoded into the mp3 like the title of the track and the artist, etc, from when the file was created, and some ppl do or dont add this info, and so it might not display anything, or display something funky, this is the only thing I can think of at the moment. I might send PocketMusic & withMP an e-mail and ask them about it.

Laterz!

Still using the trial version of Pocket music?

Or did you decide to buy it?

In Pocket Music, if there is no ID3 information, it displays a dash "-".
