wmv audio out of sync? Media PLayer 9
Dear all,

Been having some problems with audio out of sync on movies. It seems fine at first and then after approx 40 mins becomes noticable.

I am using Windows Movie Maker...

Any thoughts or ideas?

Cheers

Don't use WMV. It does that a lot. I am bias against it though. I prefer using the great guides posted on this site to convert to AVI, and use PocketMVP to play them. It works tons better in my opinion.

I've been having problems with PocketMVP locking up, so I deal with the audio sync issues in WMP.

do you have enough free ram? i had some issues with videos and wmplayer, and i have noticed that allocating more memory to program memory under the 'memory' tab under settings seemed to help me some.

Yes I am. Some .mpg's work fine and some just lock up at the end. Never happened in ppc2002. No biggy, I'll wait for the next release of PocketMVP. I don't mind the audio sync issue in wmp9, just glad to watch movies. Can't wait for my Thankgiving trip. Having trouble deciding on which movies to encode for the trip.

I've noticed the audio sync is worse, at least in my case, when I play it in full wide-screen. When I play it in the smaller window I don't notice the problem. Is it the same for you?

I have this problem when playing full length movies in WMV format with MP9 the only fix I found is running the axim at 400mhz versus 200mhz this usally fixes the problem or atleast reduces the out of sync time
