GS Player for MIDI files

Hi guys,

I dunno if someone had posted it before, but I've stumbled upon this player GS player for MIDI. It's a separate player from its MP3 counterpart and I muz say it's the best MIDI player I've found so far. Tried PocketMIDI and it's very dodgy and can't play certain MIDI files. But GS MIDI player can play all the MIDI files I had on the memory card. Just download the smallset MIDI patch file from timidity website and link the config file to the program and voila! Now I can let my friends listen to my ringtone collection on my PPC before beaming it to them ;)

The program can be obtained at http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/files

hehe... I've been using GSPlayerMIDI for quite some time too. I used to use PocketMIDI but it doesn't work on PPC2003. It's great having high quality playback of MIDI files again... can't beat having 500 songs taking up only 35MB. :D

Can you please help me configure GS Player to play midi files? I searched all over and finally got Pocket Midi to work, but somehow GS player midi just doesn't link correctly to the timidity.cfg file. I wonder if I need to edit the file or something else. Pocket Midi doesn't seem very stable as a program. I use the regular GS Player for mp3s and I have to say the new 190.2 version is amazing!

The GSPlayer for Midi is another program by itself. The one you are using is for MP3/OGG playback only. I do agree that pocketMIDI is VERY unstable and can't play certain MIDI files. I'll post the cfg file in here when I got back home ;).

And yes, the lastest GSPlayer rocks for its price (which is free :D).
