I've had I PocketTV installed since day #1 and have been very happy with it. I use it to play a few MPEG files on my SD Card.

...but I can's help but notice everyone talks about how great PocketMVP is, so I installed it to see what all the hype is about. Using 405themovie.mpeg as my benchmark file, PocketTV blew PocketMVP away.

I even went out of my way to tweak PocketMVP to maximize its performance by enabling Cache and setting the Cashe Size to 6 MB. The picture still froze several times during playback whereas PocketTV played it back flawlessly with no special settings.

Maybe it's just that MPEGs are just not PocketMVP's strength or am I missing something?

I will admit it did a pretty good job with mp3 files.

Just downloaded the shrek.avi trailer....
I must admit, PocketMVP was most impressive playing that particular file.

I also thing PocketTV is better with mpg's. PocketMVP is for avi's.

On my Axim, "405" (via PocketMVP) plays, but not very well. Many jerks and pauses.

Thinking a re-encode is in order? Anyone tried it?
