question about media player trailers?

I was wondering if I find a windows media player movie trailer on the internet and download it to my pc. Do I have to do anything else to the file for it to play on my axim x3. Can I just put it on my SD card and then play it on my axim or do you have to conver the file or anything. How big can the file be. Can the axim play anysize movies as long as you can put them on you sd card?

Thanks for any help.

Ok..

Your size limit for how big the movie can be, depends on how big your SD card is, in other words WMP can play any size of video.

You don't have to convert the trailer unless it's not in *.WMP format. Windows Media Player on your Axim can only play *.WMP Movies THATS ALL. If you have a *.mpg or *.mpeg movie (I suggest getting a .mpeg or .mpg movie trailer, because those movies are designed for being viewed on a Pocket PC screen) then you'll have to download The Free Pocket TV Program so you can play those types of movies.

Here is a great website to find *.mpg or *.mpeg movie trailers or short movies!

So then I dont have to change the resolution or anything for it to play on my device. As long as it in .wmp format it will work without any stutters. How good is the quality compared to what it would look like on my PC?

Thanks agian

It wouldn't look as good if the Trailer is made for being viewed on a PC. Thats because Windows Media Player for Pocket PC will shink it down (i think). I think it will work, but it would be better to have a movie trailer designed to be viewed on a Pocket PC (like the *.mpeg or *.mpg format)
