Realmedia streaming on a x3i

Anybody tried (with succes) Real player 9 ?? .. I have and it just wont work. keep getting "Response or data from server timed out". Real works fine om my PC sp it can't be Port/NAT ..

I HATE REAL !.... VERY MUCH !.... I REALLY DO ! .. stupid fuc**** program !

Just got word back from real support :

I am sorry to inform you that RealOne Player does not support the Dell Axim 3xi Pocket PC device.

The Compaq iPaq Plug-in is targeted to work with all Pocket PCs that support RealOne Mobile Player for Pocket PC:

- Audiovox Maestro Pocket PC
- Casio Cassiopeia E-200 Series
- Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3600, H3700, and H3800 Series
- HP Jornada 565, 567, and 568
- O2 xda from mmO2
- NEC MobilePro P300
- Sagem WA3050 (audio only)
- Toshiba e570

Worried

Found my problem ... my router won't route streams through WIFI ???? ... just tried to stream real media through a repeter (trendnet) -> Access point (trendnet) -> router (linksys) from a distans of 400 m and it worked fine..stupid me should have guessed that the craprouter i own won't do that !

Anyway ... still hates Realplayer

I had a similar problem with my X5 and ppc2003 and The Real Player. I did some exploring in my wireless router (Compaq CP-2W) and came up with the following in the help file

"The De-Militarized Zone (DMZ) allows you to specify the IP address of one computer on your local network which is exposed to the Internet. This setting is commonly used for Internet gaming or video conferencing". Seeing the reference to video, I reserved an IP address for the Axim in the DHCP and then added that address to the DMZ list. Lo and behold it worked. Streaming video on my Axim.

Just tried DMZ .. and it a no go ! DAMN !
Well next month il'l buy a linksys G router og get rid of this crap.

Just to let you know I am NOT using apox. 110$ on a router to get real media to work..I really need a linksys (just to let you know that i am not a complete idiot ) ;-)
