I have an Axim X3i (PPC2K3) running wireless in my house. Whenever my mapped drives (mapped through net use) are available and I launch Media Player, it hangs for about 5 minutes compiling a playlist of all available MP3s on all available shared drives. Also once the list is fully generated it takes several more minutes to enter the playlist, highlight all the items and delete them from the playlist. Is there any way to stop this? I would prefer if Media Player did not compile playlists for me automatically; in fact unless there is a manual generation function built in somewhere I would rather disable that feature all together. Any suggestions?
