movies on my axim x5?

I want to watch movies on my Axim when I travel. How do I do this? What do I have to download? I have found websites that offer downloadable movies. Can I download them to a disk and then watch it on my Axim? How do I do that? I am totally new to this. Which media player do I download onto my Axim X5? Pocket PC mag suggests project mayo; what about the Windows one? What about that Pocket TV thing? Which web sites are the best to download from? I don't want some obscure 1960's movie that sucks! I need a basic, step by step, idiot-friendly response! Thank you!

Look in the "Learning Center" there is some stuff on ripping movies, and maybe something about playing them. There are also a bunch of threads on this, do a search in the forums for something like movies, or players. There are also several that list web sites that have movies to download.

I did!

I looked at some of the posts on this subject, however, I am technologically challenged and do not understand a lot of the terms used. I need very BASIC instructions, otherwise I'll be totally lost! :rolling:

Look at this thread. It discusses a single freeware program that will do the conversions. Alternatively, there is payware here that will do the conversion for you. I have not tried either of these but probably will when I have the chance. Doing it the 'old way' takes quite a bit of time and three separate conversions.

Have a look at Microsoft's Windows Movie Maker (2) - only for XP.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

You can import movies, clips etc and then save in a variety of formats (including pre-sests for fullscreen PocketPC .WMV)

I found it easy to use and it can be downloaded from the MS web site free.
