Well I have an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro, doesn't that have hardware DVD decoding? I thought it did but it doesn't matter I guess, since it doesn't show up as a device I can use in Windows Media Encoder.

Well, I try and figure out this overlay issue, if I make some head-way I'll post it here.

I do appreciate your guys input though. Thanks.

As someone suggested, this is part of the DVD copy protection and can't easily be done. In fact, try playing a DVD on an extended desktop (not a mirrored one) and it will only play on the primary monitor (and be blank on the other) without special software. The simple -- albeit illegal in the US (good ol' DMCA) solution -- is to rip the DVD and stream that file. I haven't tried, but home video DVD's and most likely DVD copies should work though.

Adios,
~Nick
