What is the difference between Divx 5.0.2 and 5.0.3? I have 5.0.2. Does 5.0.3 produce higher quality video than 5.0.2? Will video made by 5.0.3 play properly on PocketMVP? Should I update to 5.0.3?

if you are using 5.0.2 and making successful movies i would not upgrade. I have 5.0.3 pro and have only been able to make one successful movie. that was a star wars 2 trailer. everything afterwards is failing. I'm talking pocketmvp CRASH. i've downloaded other trailers that work fine.

in other words... if you've got a working system don't muck it up :)

there's no way 5.0.3 could be that big of a difference.

I've been utterly unsuccessful with 5.0.3 as well. I crash PocketMVP every time, no matter what the settings.

Anyone have a link to DL v5.0.2? If I find it first, I'll post it.

I am using 5.03 and had no trouble. I even used 1 pass with Ice Age movie and it looks good enough.


I followed pocket matrix suggestions except for the single pass.
Used 225 kbit rate and eneded up with a 150 meg file. Have it on a SD card and use PocketMvp to watch it.

what method did you use to calculate the video aspect ratio?
