I was exploring new threads when i found a web site called www.pocketmovies.net one of the funnest sites i have visited in a longtime. I donloaded like four films and then tried to tranfer them to my sd card in my x5 through WMP. An error message came up saying your portable device des not support the specified format. I would love any help anyone could give me thanks all.

Haugen483,
We determined last week that WMP and WM2003 doesn't support the MPEG format for video. Don't ask me why, its like only a defacto standard. That leaves you with two options. Option 1, which in my opinion is the easiest, is to install Pocket TV (its freeware) on your Axim. It'll play MPEGs as is. Option 2 is a little more painful, but not much really. That is to open Windows Moviemaker, import the MPEG, create a storyboard/timeline (just drag and drop the clips from the original into the filmstrip on the bottom and the save the "new" movie as a WMV file type on high resolution. You should then be able to send the .WMV file to your SD card and open it in WMP. Now I could be wrong about the Axim and its software not supporting MPEGs but that''s sure is the way it appears to work right now. Hope this was understandable and it solves your problem. | |||||
