OK then how many of you returned your x3 basic because you couldn't do anything with it except store addresses and phone numbers.

What can be done with a basic to maximize the resources? Does using faster flash memory have any impact and is it available as SD type? I was hoping that increasing the clockspeed and if possible tweaking the os would allow me to use it for movies and maybe some games.

Well the X3 Can do more then hold addresses. If you do a search there are other threads on overclocking pocket pcs, referenceing programs such as turbotray. I beileive I heard rumours about a faster SD card, but they are rumours and just that. SD is SD as far as I know, just don't get MMC because it actually is slower. Out of the box my Axim X5 Basic can play WMVs encoded in Pocket PC Widescreen in Windows Media Enocder are somewhat okay, but Mpegs play great in Pocket TV off my CF. Your axim should play games fine, unless your planning on doing some emulation i.e snes. Most/All of these questions could have been answered by searching though the forums so don't forget to do that first.
