Random Breaks and Skips when playing MP3s.
Hi, all. I've been having some weird issues playing Mp3s on my Axim. I constantly deal with random breaks and skips during songs. This problem occurs with pretty much all Mp3 players (GSPlayer, Windows Media 9, Pocket MVP, etc...). The Mp3s play perfectly on my computer so I'm not sure what is going on with my ppc. I have the songs on my Sandisk 256 MB CF Card. The same problem occurs when I transfer them to my Lexar 256 MB SD Card, Built-In Storage, or even my RAM. Someone please help me remedy this issue. Thanks.

Do you have a bunch of other programs running in the background? Are you low on RAM? Check you running programs list to make sure you don't have a bunch of other stuff going on interrupting the processor.

Nothing else running for me either. I have all my programs installed either on my SD or CF card so I know I have sufficient RAM.

Time to bring this subject back to life.. I am having the same problem. It thought it was the corruption on my CF card (which dispayed some mp3 file names as only SQUAREs and those could not be deleted), therefore I formatted the CF (Lexar 12x CF 512 MB) using my CF Reader on my PC.

( I must state that also I recently Hard Reset and Formatted my Axim X5 400mhz )

I had the skipping of Mp3s using Windows Media Player while there is Nothing running on Background while playing from CF months ago, and I still have it after all the formatting and fixing..

Any ideas? From the inactivity of the topic, it makes me think this could have been discussed before. Could not find the topic myself.

Thanks~!
