New version of PocketMVP

I don't know if this has already been posted about (haven't seen it if it has), but there's a new version of PocketMVP out which seems to work much better.

it can be downloaded here:

http://corecodec.org/project/showfiles.php?group_id=20

Fixes seem to include:

* lip sync on fast forward is maintained (this is a big plus for me, and I've just tested it out and it does indeed seem to be the case)

* ability to play normal full size xvid/divx videos (i've not tried this out yet, but I'm about to)

seems to behave itself much better, and seems to work fine on Windows Mobile 2003 as well.

If this is old news, apologies...

I'll post back when i've used it more fully with any other pros / cons I've found... meanwhile, the full list of fixes is here:

http://corecodec.org/project/shownot...release_id=123

hth some of you i know i've been waiting for a stable version of this excellent program for a long time.

m.

well, first problem - it crashed 15 minutes into playing a video file i was just trying it with...

also the playing videos larger than the screen doesn't seem to work either.

so for the time being, i've gone back to the old version - it does seem like more active development is being done on it now though, so hopefully these problems will be sorted quickly.

To reply to my own thread once again, I reinstalled the older version of PocketMVP I was using, and it crashed at the same point, so it seems that it was a problem with that piece of video... so I put back on the new version and played a couple of other 40min+ long videos without any issues...

So overall pretty positive I think...
