Windows Media Encoder Freezes

Hello, any time that I try to use WME with a movie it will freeze. It is like this if I want to reencode it or stream it to my axim. I can open and stream smaller files no problem. Any ideas?

No, its not waiting to start. It crashes to the desktop or it comes up with the send error to MS message.

How about the RAM and CPU speed of your WME host. I run mine on a p4 2.0 ghz unit and it brings it to its knees.

Processor speed doesn't have to do with this thing crashing, it just ticks me off! I'm going to try running it on another pc to see what happens.

Any other ideas?

I had the same problem, I tried a lot of things to make it work properly but unfortunately the only thing that solved the problem was reinstalling Windows.
