Question about Pocket Divx - which one should be used for Axim X3?
Well I've been using WMP on my Axim X3i and have been very happy with it but today I thought about giving Pocket Divx a try. So I headed over to their site but whe nI got to the download section they have various downloads for different brands of Pocket PCs but the Dell Axim (X5 or X3) are not listed so which would be the best to download, or should I not even bother with this app? Like I said, I have a Dell Axim X3i running WM2003.

And here's the site just in case anyone else wants to have a look: http://www.projectmayo.com/projects/...hp?projectId=9

Thanks.

It looks like that is a link to a really old version of Divx...from 2002. I don't think the Axim was even released quite yet. This link should give what you need.
http://www.divx.com/divx/?src=toptab...ware/index.php

All you need is the free version.

The link you provided is for a Divx player for Windows, but I'm looking for a Divx player for my Pocket PC, which is what the link in my original post is for.

I'm not looking for a way to convert my videos to divx, I'm looking for an actualy Pocket PC 20003 friendly version player for my Axim X3i.

pocketDivx is now pocketMVP, and you can download it at pocketmvp.net. to discuss encoding divx for ppc, go to corecodec.com.

oh, and if you are like me, you will be much happier w/ pocketMVP than w/ WM9.

Sorry about the link...I really thought I was helping! I assumed you needed it for converting DVD's and now I see that you never mentioned that in your post. Assumptions make an #@$ out of... well.... just me.

The version .8.011804 is what I'm currently using, and it works wonderfully on my X3i.

hth,
