Pretty much what the subject says. I will be in the middle of listening to an mp3 file with WMP and then - KAPOW - the power goes off. It isn't with any one mp3 file in particular, it seems to randomly happen independent of the song. It also only happens every once and a while, but frequently enough to be irritating. This is with a 400mhz Axim x5.
Has anyone else faced this problem? Any ideas? Solutions? Any advice would be appreciated.

This happened to me as well. I had a password app set to show the password screen after 30 minutes of no use, which switched the device back to "Today", which then followed the "power off" settings for battery power. It has not recurred since I changed this, but that means nothing; I rarely listen to audio files on the Axim, so it's hard to say if it is "fixed".
See if your Today settings are set to return control to Today and that corresponds to when the device shuts off.
