No they wont, what you need to do is export the video as a uncompressed AVI with quicktime pro and then re-encode them with a program like VirtualDub to divx format.

Thanks for that insight . Much appreciated. I do have another Q if u dont mind answering, Is there a big difference between the US version of the Axim X3i and the UK version of the X3i?
im thinking of buying mine from the states since its around 190bucks cheaper! i dont understand why though.
plus does it matter where i buy the memory from (different countrys okay?)
memory should be fine, the axim should be fine, BUT the one thing that i would be conserned about is the charger and power suply. Yet u could always get a power suply on eBay
Power supply is fine. I am using my European X5 in the US - the power adapters are dual voltage.
The only problem about buying from the US is support - it's all good and well saving money, but what happens if something goes wrong? You may find it difficult to get support for a US product outside of the US.
Staying completely off topic :D - MMC cards are cheaper than SD cards and do essentially the same thing. They fit the SD slot and for general storage, there is no difference.
Apparently MMC cards are *very* slow compared to equivalent SD cards and I don't think there is a huge difference in price. Also, as far as I know, at the moment you can only get MMC cards with a maximum capacity of 128mb or 256mb (can't remember which)
Yes, I believe they are slower. But for the likes of storing photos and .wma files, they are fine.
I have the common problem of songs skipping when played from the CF card, but from the MMC card the play fine. I really don't think in the Pocket PC 2003 arena it matters.
cheers tom and odie!
i might just stick with sd card since they r quicker for playin movies and media.
i still think that dell should hav kept a cf slot as well as sd, just think everyone that owns or owned an axim 5 can still use their cf cards and maybe even try sd cards as well.
it just gives us more choices to enjoy our new/old toy :)

Good luck trying to buy from Dell US (or Canada or....)
After long winded discussions, they basically will not and cannot sell to the UK cause we're listed as an embargoed country - as is the rest of the world. Basically if you can't get it delivered to a US address then forwarded on, you're out of luck as there's no way to enter a UK delivery address.
This has been a real pain for me as I wanted to buy one of the Veo SD cameras, but they wont sell it to UK customers. Not unsurprisingly, Dell UK dont stock it.... and probably would charge over the odds anyway.
Its a pity cause for a few days Dell US were selling the camera for $65, next time I looked it was up at $105. Crackpot pricing syustem there if u ask me.
