need help with divx 5.1.1 encoding

Hi,

I've been trying to encode a DVD to Divx so I can play it on my X3i using pocketMVP. I can't seem to get the full movie working!

I'm using the following software and settings:
Divx free 5.1.1
Xmpeg 5.0.3
Smartripper 2.4.1

1) rip the dvd using smart ripper.
2) start xmpeg and open the ifo file produced by smartripper
3) configure xmpeg to resize to 320x240.
4) configure xmpeg to do 2 pass encoding with divx
5) configure divx (both passes) to 128kbps, no psychovisual, no b-frame, no profile, everything else default.
6) configure xmpeg to process audio, convert ac3->2channel stero, compress using lame at 32kbps 22khz stero.
7) start converson.

Using the same settings, the output avi file works in PocketMVP if I encode only 5 minutes of video (a few hundred kb), but pocketMVP crashes if the full movie is encoded (130MB).

Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks.

nevermind, fixed the problem.

All I needed to change was a setting in pocketMVP. Needed to uncheck "don't use avi index". Once that's off, the file plays fine.

So this whole processes uses 2 software, and once the settings are configured, takes only 2 clicks =)
