I just found a new MP3 player for the Pocket PC called pPod which has the interface of an iPod. It retails for $35 and there is a 3 day demo. Since I own an iPod myself, there is no need for this for me, but maybe others might like it. The real iPod is a lot easier to use since it has actual hardware buttons, but this is still a cool software product, but it is overpriced in my opinion.
Why won't Apple sue over this? I also think its ridiculous. Why waste all that screen space, and have a tiny window for display of your songs? Just a bad idea, imho.
I downloaded the trial back on the 26/02. However tonight I have looked for it to buy at is was down to $18.00 and I can't find it any where. Looks like the suits have got involved.
I read that Apple's legal team did get a bit ticked over this. They like to acuse others of cheating. While in the meantime they slap a GUI on FreeBSD and sell it...
Out of curiosity... I wonder how illegal it is to post registration codes (I know not here...) for software that is no longer "owned" by anyone since the company went out of business.
Anyone?

Still available to download from a regular website, the documantation doesn't indicate it is a trial version (it's v1.04) will try it over the next few days and see what its like.
Edit: 07/03/06 - The download is the trial version, had a quick play with it and I like it, but $18.00 is alot for something that only plays music when TCPMP plays pretty much everything for $0.00; however having said that it does work one handed exactly like an iPod so that is an advantage but not worth $18.00. No doubt Apple will close this down and then they may even rebrand and release it for about $100.00 as a PPC iTunes player :)
