Hmm Media Player

I have just received my new Axim and so far like it alot. The one problem I am having is installing windows media player. The CD from Dell seems to suggest that I should install version 7.1. When I try I get a message saying the version is not supported. I can only find a PocketPC2002 upgrade and not the original. If I install the udgrade it won't run as it says it has no skins. I have tried adding skins with no success.

What am I doing wrong. I scanned the forum and FAQ and did not find the answer there. Is it only me who can't seem to do this?

Thanks for any help.

Windows Media Player comes already installed from the factory. Mine in on my start menu under Media Player. Also look under "File Explorer" then "Program Files" and see if you see the Windows Media folder. If it's not there you may need to do a hard reset to restore it. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you might want to do a hard reset to get your media player back. There is a work around, but I'd say a hard reset would be better.
