I scanned a picture of my kids and saved as a bitmap file. I then synched it with my axim. I want to use this picture as my new background. How do I get my axim to recognize this file in the settings for the Today screen?

Please help. Thank you

Ok, I'm in this site because I will soon be getting my own Axim.
In the meantime, I still have my Cassiopeia. To display your picture on the Today screen, try saving it as jpeg (is the only format I've used for my pictures). Then save it in your My Documents folder (maybe in a subfolder of My Documents either on your Storage Card -like I've done or main memory). Then go to your Settings screen, then "Today". Select one of the "Image" in the menu and press the button "Options", it will give you a field named "Image path"...that's when you select the picture from whichever folder you saved it to (after clicking "Browse&quot. Hit OK for that window and OK all the way out. Now go to Start, Today and presto!
I hope this applies for PocketPC 2002.

If you had a program like Pocket Facelift you could just specify what image on your Axim you wanted as the today screen background pic. If you do not you need to make a theme with that image as the background image and use that custom theme, theres a free easy program that lets you build themes, its called MS Ppocket Theme Generator give that a try and you should be ready to go.

I downloaded the MS Theme generator and is so easy to use. I have gone crazy creating some themes. Highly recomend this product.
