video dissapointment

I recently purchased a 256 SD card
and for some reason any videos I put on the card are jerky, freeze and sometimes they refuse to load using pocket MVP
is there somethign special I need to do. They all play fine on my Desktop. these videos vary in size from 6 mb to 150 mb and i am playing them from my SD card. I think I'm doing something wrong
any ideas?

If you're trying to use MPG format, just try them with PocketTV instead before you give up.

hey that worked great, now if i can only figure out how to converty my leterbox divx videos that I have on my computer to a smaller size that i can store on my SD card. I tried the way it said in the first message on this board. But it errored out, but my problem was all of my videos are in letterbox format so the sizes were not correct everyone was super tall and really skinny.

any Ideas on where to find something that works well for converting larger files to smaller files?

It's easy... you just have to change a few numbers and my posted guide will work. What are the sizes of the videos you have? If you give me the video frame size, I'll give you the proper numbers to put in.

when I right click it and click properties the file info is as follows:

Image:
Width 576
Height 304

Audio
Duration 1:25:49
bit Rate 140 Kbps
Audio format Lame Mp3

Video
Frame Rate 23 frames/second
Data Rate 139 Kbps
Video Sample Size 24 bit
Video Compression XVID

the file size right now is 718,294 kb

I would love to watch it on my Pocket pc
Thanks

try 320 x 176 in step 1 of my reencoding guide and see how you like it...

You can calculate this for yourself in the future easily

I've outline the method of calculation for widescreen stuff in my message here...
