New version "TodayPlayer"
I stumbled over a new version 3.3.0 of "TodayPlayer"

the rev. his. reads:

New and Improved Features for Version 3.3

* "Preview" now uses current volume setting.
* When playing Shoutcast without peak meters, the memory meters are optionally displayed.

New and Improved Features for Version 3.2

* Added Time-of-day to Sleep Timer.
* Added "Start" to Playlist Manager.
* Modified Hardware Button Mapping Interface.
* Added Time-of-day Wake-Up Function to Sleep Timer.
* Added "Copy File to SD Card" to Decoder Options.
* Now Supports Unicode in Filenames.
* Removed FTP Functionality. (Moved to a separate DLL.)
* Added "Save as Favorite" function.
* Added Wake Volume to Sleep Timer window.
* Added Language Library.

Download

Enjoy.

Peace,
Henk.

Have you tried this on your Axim? And what did you think about it? I don't like the known issues at this time...From their website.... Known Issues
Wireless Malfunction. One user has reported his wireless does not connect when TodayPlayer is installed, and one other has reported his Bluetooth stops working, even if TodayPlayer is not active (he must delete the DLL file.) Please report any such malfunctions to me via the Message Board if possible.
DPad Lockup. One user has reported that activating the DPad control locked up his iPaq1930, requiring a hard reset. Apparently the beta testing was insufficient. Please backup your PDA before installing TodayPlayer (or, to be safe, any software.)
VGA Mode. It runs, but there are many display issues.
Languages. The problem playing files with unicode names has been fixed.
Network Drives. I've also received reports that MP3s on networked drives do not play if your password is not saved. (I have tested it successfully using Resco software with a saved password.)
WMA: Not currently supported. I do not know when I'll be able to do so.

I just tried it and had other problems with it. When I tried to use it in full screen mode it would not allow me to close and return to the Today screen. I had to soft reset and that wouldn't even work...it forced me into a hard reset!

Very cool idea and it worked fine for a while but I will not be using it from now on.

Lancie10 - I had the same problem - but you do not need to hard reset - as long as you can access your menu - go to settings - memory - remove the software. that'd work.

it is kinda buggy, but regardless of the full screen issue and the "Lights out" option (completely turns off your device screen, no way to bring it back up) it works like miracles to me.

Meanwhile (8th of May) it became v3.3.01

Peace,
Henk.
