WMA issues
I tried using windows media encoder 9 to re encode some mp3's into WMA, but when I did no dice. They wont play on the axim. Obviously WM on the axim doens't support WMA 9. So what does everyone else use to encode audio into WMA. Would someone like to setup a guide to convert from MP3 into WMA?
Thanks for the help | |||||

It probably should be in the FAQ, because it's been covered so many times in the forums.
Converting mp3 or ripping CDs to WMA that works on the Axim is a built in part of Media Player 9. Not Encoder. Start WMP9 on your PC. Find the button on the left edge of the player window, which opens a fly-out menu. Put in an audio CD. Click on Copy to CD or Device. On the top menu bar go to Tools, Options, Copy Music and make your settings for quality. Same menu hit devices tab, highlight CD player and select digital mode copy. On the right hand side of the player window is the destination area, so dock and sync the Axim to make it available here. Click on the drop-down list right under where it says Items on Device, where it may currently have Roxio CD Burning listed. Navigate to your Axim SD card or whatever. Select the tracks you want to copy. Near the upper right corner of the player window is a Copy button. Press it. | |||||
