Thankz man, they are releasing updates for this thing fast.

EDIT:

Tried out the matrix trailers again and i got alittle improvement on them not that i needed it :p I like the new benchmark bitrate status. It seems that my X30High can't get over 1.9Mbit/sec . I guess that is my limit when trying to not have any framedrop. The 240x320 video i get just about 300%+ speed and the 640x480 one i got 130%+. Both had benched 1.9Mbit/sec for the data bitrate flow. I am guessing the X3i would be like 1.5Mbit/sec.

Nevermind, i just got 2.1Mbit/sec.

Sweet, you can do SD card benchmarks with it too. Just disable the video and audio after you select a file to watch. Then benchmark it.

My 128MB SanDisk SD card can transfer 17.7Mbit/sec of data. I am curious to see what everyone else gets fro theirs. Make sure the video file is on your SD card. When it was on my RAM i got 340Mbit/sec,lol.

Is there any way to set up the equalizer???

I see an equalizer tab, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Ya, goto options---settings---select page--equalizer.

You change it there and the other one you were selecting was to turn the settings on and off to your presets.

This is not a method to test your transfer rate.

I get different results with different movies on this test.

yes, the avi/ogg parser still there which influences the results :)
probably with mp3 there is less error, but still the player is not designed for accurate raw transfer rate benchmarking.

The developer said that is the way to test it.

I have played over 12 videos ranging in size and i get the same results. That is the max transfer that card will have no matter if the video is 500kb/sec or 2000kb/sec because the test is going to wanna transfer the data as fast as possible. I used the 512kb/sec Matrix video as my main tester and it is pretty long video. You will get more accurate results the longer the video.

my results have ranged from 15, to 19.. using different files.
The longer I let the benchmark run, the higher it goes..

hehe i only have 2 long videos, the rest are all
short previews...

Maybe because the videos i tested were all the same length. Maybe it is best to have the Matrix 320x240 512kb/sec trailer as the standard to do the test just like all benchmark programs have their standards.

I just received my Viking 256MB card and copied over 2 movies. The first, a 100mb home video encoded using PocketDivxEncoder and the other an 8 MB matrix trailer. I get around 1Mb/s for my home video and around 1.5 mb/s for the matrix trailer. I see some of you have got 15 .. 17 mb/s. Seems my viking is slow?
