Seconds to Pocket DVD Studio!!!

Simple to use, no synch problems noticed yet (5 dvds), plus easy to record portions of a movie if you only want to save a favorite line or scene.

Ok, just to let everyone know I finally got windows media encoder to work. I just have to transfer the file to another computer and run it in windows media encoder. Why my one computer can't convert the file I have no idea. Although, I can't convert avi files to wmv it comes up with errors, 1024 errors to be exact. Anyway, I did notice that there is a lot of color banding for my videos. I see huge blocks on the screen. Question is, is this normal or am I encoding wrong? Thanks

Jason

I guess the blocks you see are what people refer to as pixelation. Acceptability depends upon the quality you are striving for.

It doesn't exactly seem like I'm seeing pixellation occuring more banding than anything else. If that is normal then I'll stick with using an avi file. At least I get dvd quality video with that method.
Thanks balloonchasers

I've got Windows ME on my Dell PC. What's the best way to encode a DVD to view on my X5? Seems like you need XP for all this encoding software.
Thanks

I get color banding on my computer as well. I'm fairly certain it's some gnarly interaction between the video drivers and windows media player, because the banding isn't there on the axim. Do you have a NVidia 4200 Ti by any chance?

Mine is the exact opposite. I get banding on my axim but on my computer it is perfectly fine.
