Problems with dvd2ppc...help please

Hi there,

can anyone help me out here with the dvd2ppc program...ive downloaded it and went to load it up but came up with an error "illegal operation".

i think i might need windows XP running, especially for the windows encoder 9. Does anyone know if i can use the DVD2PPC software using my current spec.

im running windows 98SE and system is basic p2 450 160ram and 20gig hd....i really want to use this software so that i can backup the movies i have to use on my axim x30.

by the way, this site is fantastic, some great posts and ideas, keep it rollin.

thanks inadvance for your help.
yatz.

DVD2PPC requirements list Windows XP. I also have Win98 and have had good results with Pocket DVD Studio. Although I do have to shut down all running apps to keep the ram up.

Not sure, I have ~384MB and it runs slow. Like I said I have to shut down all other apps. It did work but it was touch and go. My laptop with XP is weapon of choice. Download the trial version of Pocket DVD Studio and you can record approximately 10 minutes to see if it will work. Set your output quality to the highest level, but in the end that will only tell you if it can process 10 minutes of your dvd. 98 was good but the day may of come when we need to upgrade.

Movies on your Axim are cool though!:D
