This is a two part problem

1) Me and my friends (screw grammer) are starting a wireless LAN in certain undisclosable places :hide: and we're going to stream movies (just between us, its for personal use of 4 people). Now, how can we do that so that playback is as close to instantaneous without a seperate memory card or having to dl the entire movie?

2) I'm looking for FREEWARE players that can do quicktime and .avi. I tried divx and its the worst playback since i tried playing the matrix two trailer on my 233MHz fossil...same trailer though..strange...(i'll be at the boards seeing if someone can change that because pocket TV played admirably, compared to windows pos media player). So fact, i have divx, flash, and PTV. Any suggestions?
