GAPI:device error when using betaplayer
I encoded a movie using PocketDivxEncoder 0.3.50 with (video quality: 12 = 192kbps, audio quality 1 = 22050Hz, 24kbps, mono)
In advanced options, I selected (b-frames, vhq, use 2-pass encoding, framerate 25fps). When trying to playback .avi using betaplayer 0.04, I get (GAPI: GAPI not supported on this device. Try a different driver!) Did I miss something simple? I'm using Dell Axim X5 400Mhz with WM2003.

I had the same problem. To get BetaPlayer to use the GAPI driver, which is faster than GDI, I had to deselect the video options (Smooth Zoom, Dither, Slow Video Memory). Then soft reset, open BetaPlayer, Select GAPI, Play a video, then reselect the above video options.

GAPI is faster, it should be used if possible.
i found a bug in 0.04 which could cause this GAPI error. hopefully 0.05 will solve this problem ( will be released soon ![]()
