I've found the information posted by everyone here very helpful, especially with converting my video files to play on the pocket mvp/divx player. (The files are initially .avi).

I assure you that I followed all the instructions and have practiced on a number of different files for encoding using VirtualDub & DivX 5.0.3. I've also previewed them on Media player on my computer prior to loading it onto my 128MB SD card, and everything was fine.

I made sure I freed up enough memory on my axim, but whenever i played the .avi file, at some point in time it would just close the program, and go back to my start screen. The weird thing is that My menu bar at the top is gone, and I can see a protion of my movie there. I also can't access the pocket MVP player at all, without rebooting.

I've rebooted so much that I've come to realize that either I am doing something wrong, or something is wrong with my axim.

dHELP :) Is there anyone out there that can lend me some advice?

I experiece the same problem, when loading and playing a converted movie using the manual on this site, after one or two seconds, my MVP player exits, I return to the desktop and I have a black bar on top of my screen...

I opened a thread on this matter but so far I don't see any solutions yet.

I downloaded the test.avi on this site and that works great.

So don't be scared, there is no prob with your axim, we must be doing something wrong...but what???


I have been trying for 2 weeks now and still haven't got any + result...

I had the same problem, Took me a long
to figure out I was using the wrong
version of Pocket MVP.. be sure to look
around and find the right version, I dont
remember where I got mine...
