need help w/ media sync

i've been trying to move video clips from my folder on my PC to my AX with no luck.

i go to the file i want, right click it and seclect "send to sync list". this causes windows media player to be opened on my pc. on the media sync list (with pda on right side and pc on left), i seclect the file and click "begin sync", after a few seconds, i the file (in the to be synced list) changes into the message "error: windows media player cannot convert"

do the files on my PC need to converted into somethingelse prior to being coppied to my PDA?

i doubt there's any copyright issues because the files i selected were trailers for videos that are for sale.

Im getting the same problem with a files generated by pocketdivx encoder

i have pocket mvp installed

it seems to fill up about 20mb onto my sd card then comes up with the error
