I got some Sony studio monitor style, for $30. Can be had for 20 w/o the on-cord volume ctrl. Also have folding style available.
Excellent sound and comfort, but bigger (less portable) than the walkman mini types. | |||||

For my use I'm using the Sony earplugs which cost about $9.99 at Best Buy. The two things I like about this ear plugs is that the Bass sounds good and it is compact and comes with a carrying case that is self contained which means that you install your ear plugs in the case and start winding the knob and it will coil the ear plugs wire into a little case the size of about 3 inches by 3/4 inch depth.Great for using at the gym when riding the bike or situps. Hope this helps some one.

I posted this earlier tonite, but it's better suited to this thread so here goes:
-------------------------------------------------- On the topic of headphones, please check out Headroom Corp. at www.headphone.com The site evaluates mostly high-end audiophile type "cans" but has many recommendations for more mundane applications like gaming, mp3 and portable music listening. I've been a fan of theirs for a while and have gotten myself some Grado SR80 (love them) Koss PortaPro (cheap but amazing sound) and even some earbud type Sennheisers MX400 headphones for running. The SR80s are attached to my soundcard and I do most of my music listening on those. The Koss portaPros are used on my Axim and sound freakin' amazing, especially the bass. I think they are my best Axim upgrade to date. The Senns are on my Muvo cause they're small and light - they're OK but have no depth like the Grados or any bass like the Koss. Headroom has a related community of dedicated friendly forum posters (kinda like us) at http://www.head-fi.org/ If you can pry yourself away from Aximsite, give those links a try. | ||||

The Etymotic ER-6 is THE ideal headphone for the AXIM-actually ALL PDAs in general.
http://www.headphone.com/layout.php?topicI...ctID=0020100100 It's very portable and the sound is incredible. It cuts out most outside sound so some may find it a bit unnerving... Some cons: some people find it too uncomfortable (it literally goes way inside your ear canal); it's somewhat pricey ($130). It's only for serious music-lovers... cheers, ![]() | ||
