Music files - mp3 or WMA???

I don't have any experience with WMA but would love to hear from people who have used both formats.

Sorry I can't help, however I'd like to know how you like your viking cards? I noticed that they sell at a very competitive price. Are they as good as the competition?

I haven't owned anything other than Viking cards. I have had a 256MB CF card for over a year (digital camera) and it has performed flawlessly. In the last few months I have purchased more Viking cards - 256MB & 512MB CF as well as a 256MB SD card. I have had no problems with any of them. The 512MB card is loaded with over a 110 mp3's. I will be using the SD card for games and additional file storage.

If you are interested in Viking cards keep an eye open at Amazon.com. They seem to offer the best prices. Also get your self a "Gold Box". My first 256MB card was a GB offer. It was only $56 (keep in mind this was last summer) when 256MB cards were selling for $95+!

Dennis, I cant speak for everyone, but I prefer
WMA, only because i find it easy to convert to
that format, and fast..... and small file sizes..
and like I said, I cant/wont speak for everyone,
But they dont sound bad to me.. they sound
just fine.....

I prefer mp3s or oggs, wma's just sound dodgey to me and cant be used (nicley, as in encode/decode) outside of windows
I also think real audio sounds bad too
I (personaly) would say that mp3's would be the way to go, its actually an ISO standard, cant go wrong with ISO standards ;)

Definitely ogg. Even at their lowest quality (q0) they'll beat out WMA.

For a user-friendly way to rip CDs to ogg, try CDex.
