Media Player Now Available on www.dell.com

There is a Axim ROM update for the OS now available on dell.com

Go to the support site and look for Axim updates for the X30. I just performed the update and it included Media Player 10.

Having lots of problems with this upgrade....no files playing in wm yet,my quicken doesnt want to work on sync now also a mystery unresolved inbox item. Anyone having better results?? :rolling:

Update:
whatever you do do NOT use the backup and restore after this update, looks like its causing some kind of file incompatibiltys or corruption. Gonna have to start from scratch if you want this upgrade.

I'm just saddened that my little Axim that Could is getting left out all the time considering that I bough it back in Feburary... 3 months later the X30 comes out and 4 months after that the X50...

I'm seriously contemplating buying an X50v for Xmas... but I want to know for sure that it won't be abandoned 2 months after I buy it.

I really don't think that you have to worry about the X50 being replaced by Dell anytime within a year. There aren't any other devolpments near integration besides VGA. Sharp just released a unit in Japan with a hard drive, but they are at least a year out here in the US IMO.

I guess I don't understand the above posts. AO5 for X30 includes WMP 10. So why is everyone saying you have to buy a new PPC??

You would have to buy a new PPC is you have an X5 or an X3. These are still being sold and microsoft (primarily responsibility), and dell (some minor responsibility), will not provide software for these machines.

Any ideas how to sync from the WMP 10 Desktop to WMP10 Mobile via WiFi? My X30 doesn't show up on the device list.
