To start off with you need to have mms:// and then were your file is located in the address of the video file. But the main thing is the way you Encode your video. It has to be encoded as a streaming video and not just a standard encode for Pocket Pc for example that Windows media Encoder does. For the difference would be the whole video would have to be downloaded before it starts to play in WMP if its not in a streaming format. So you also might want to look into that also.

Thanks
I have a fairly decent understanding of encoding procedures. I need to learn more.
I checked out your encoding website. Very Nice!
What I am having trouble with is the creation of a web page with a list of videos that would be accessable for streaming and/or downloading to a Pocket PC.
I am under the impression that if I have a link on a web page to a properly encoded wmv video, that link must point to an ASX file which in turn will reference the WMV file stored on the HTTP server, AND the ASX file will cause the Win Media Player to pop up and play the referenced WMV. file.
I am not sure I understand where your reference to the MMS:// would come into play. Would you mind explaining the significance of the MMS://.
Thanks.
