I just started using both WMM and VD, so I don't have that much experience with either one, BUT! I have notice what you start with will determine the outcome.
I had a few movies that weren't bad when I played them on my PC. alittle dark and alittle grainy. when I encoded them to the Axim they became much darker and grainier. Not a joy to watch. I was able to clean one up with the brightness / contrast Filter in VD. It was watch able.

I then had some video shorts that were very clean and sharp to start and looked just as well when put to the Axim.

So again I don't think it's you or the software it's what you start with that counts.

I'm going to keep this in mind when doing more encoding and look for the best quality to begain with.

Do a search in your start menu and if you don't have it you can go here to get it...

Oaky I now have mm2 downloaded...thanks to a great person who was kind enough to post a link!!!! but now I am having trouble copyig a DVD what gives? what Iam doing wrong?

Now. Were are you trying to copy DVD movie from (CD, Home movie, Downloading from KaZaa...)

If it's from a CD you bought from the store they have copy right protection.

Oh, and were are you trying to copy it to.

It is a DVD from a store...DARN......so Iam on bearshare get a AVI or mpeg to play with?!?!?!!?:crooked:

You can get videos from places like KaZaa or wait I'll go look for a link to something I saw once.

There are programs called DVD Decrypters that will get the video files off of a DVD, which can then be changed into AVI or MPGE format. You can do some searches and find freeware programs that will allow you to do this.

But a weird is happening. I can download the Matrix Reloaded Teaser with stardownloader.

Star saves it for me so I can do whatever I waht with it, but when I try to download DareDevil Trailer. Windows want to download it and when I try to use it i have a file I can't open.

Maybe some Trailers have copy right protection.

Try the Matrix Reloaded Teaser and see if you can do anything with it.

I'm going to try some of the other ones there.

Yep it was only DareDevil Trailer I had trouble with.
All the other ones I tried on this page download through Star.

With me they open with Windows media Player so they should work well with Windows movie maker and then play in WMP on the Axim

What a big dope I am.:rolling: Those Trailers are already made to play on the Axim. Can't do anything with them in WMM. I must not be awake yet:crooked:

Like I said KaZaa is where I videos to play with.
