How to play movies on Axim?????? - Page 2

i tried that MVP player, but it cuts out after 5 seconds and goes black for the rest of the movie (that is...if i can get it to play for more than 5 seconds, usually it just goes straight to black!!) What did I do wrong? I was trying to play an .avi movie....It also gave me grief when I tried playing a .mpg!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I deleted the stinkin program, i was so ticked.

where can i get simpsons downloaded on my pc and watch on axim without any hassel of formatting it?

jlong4, I tried all the ways that were posted and none worked for me. I just couldn't get the hang of it. Then I used Smartripper with the default settings and PocketDivxEncoder after it and got a movie (finding Nemo) in about 130 mgs. Watched it on Betaplayer and it worked great.

Anything in here that says use PocketMVP needs to be said to use BetaPlayer instead. BetaPlayer you don't have to install all the divx codecs and crap like PocketMVP. BetaPlayer gets way way better performance as well and plays files larger then 240x320.

I still really favor FairUse Wizard.

IMO, it's way worth the two euros to download it (and also entitles you to 30 days of further downloads...) Fire it up, throw in a DVD, set the parameters and leave it to run unattended... Come back to a finished, ready to transfer and play file. You can queue up several jobs at the same time, too. Cake.

As far as DVD ripping goes, I use a combination of SmartRipper, DVD2AVI and TMPGenc. is just too much work for me. {smile}
