I can never seem to hear a difference in the equalizers on WinamPAQ or Pocket MVP .. even when I turn the preamps up to +20.... I know that they are on. Any suggestions?

the speaker can't play the range you're adjusting anyways. Try it with some headphones or real speakers. Or did you already try that?

I'm using headphones; the ones that came with my Philips Jogproof CD player. I would just like to boost the volume and possibly equalize it a little bit, but I am not hearing any boost of volume with the equalizer on or off and the Axim's volume is up.

Since this thread is called equalizers, heres my 2 cents, with the PocketMusic EQ presets I can hear a big difference with different songs, there are quite a bit of good presets on PocketMusic Plus Package and they really help IMO. You might wanna give that a try.

I noticed the same thing. I dont think the WinamPAQ guys have got the preamp/equalizer feature working yet.

I think Pocket Music is currently the best in terms of sheer audio quality, both their preamp (good at erasing the hiss and low-volume output of the Axim) and their EQ work pretty well... I really need the full version
