CF vs. SD for video & mp3 & photo

I have to choose between compact flash or secured digital for my memory cards.
Can anyone tell me if they find one format to work better for video / MP3/photo playback and storage.

Thanks

I have both.

No real difference.. CF is a bit cheaper and sometimes faster (if you get good CF)

The bonus of SD is you keep your CF slot open for peripherals such as wireless networking/gps/etc.

They both load fast enough to playback basically anything you could play on you axim.

But if you are really picky, the CF slot has a wider bit path (4bit path) and the SD slot has a small data path (1bit). Videos actually play a whole lot better off the CF card (and it really doesn't matter how fast the CF card is because the axim would only allow a certain transfer rate. the CF card's speed is great only for cameras where the data speed is relied upon the card). But if you are just playing mps or wma files, use the SD card so that, as fibrizo said, you have the CF slot for bluetooth, modem, gps, etc.

Know of any benchmarking tools that will isolate just the CF or SD card?

Interesting site Eclypse. I didn't realize there was such a physical difference between MMC and SD cards... Thanks
