Forgive my ignorance, this has been bothering me from the day I updated my firmware.
In no way shape or form am I able to build playlists in WMP10. I can't creat a Playing Now list fine, but I want to keep other playlists in the "My Playlists" section. Is there a way to do this directly on the Axim? I have heard you can make them on the desktop in WMP10 and sync them over, but I can't figure out how. I dragged a playlist into the sync window, it uploaded all of the songs from the playlist to my Axim and updated the media library, but didn't add a playlist to the "My Playlists" section.
If someonhe could please help me, I'd be truely greatful =).
P.S. I also looked in the Help documentation for mobile WMP10. Under 'About Playlists', it told me what a playlist was and what it could do for me, but never said how to actually make one. I starting to think this is all one big conspiracy and it can't be done =(

If I understand the help file correctly (and some other postings) WMP10 on the PPC doesnt use Playlists...it uses the Playing Now List. You just line up all the songs you want to play and let it go.

But it has a section called "My Playlists" on the same menu as "My Music", "My Movies" and "My TV". There's got to be some way I can organize music into playlists.

I think you're right! I took a quick look at it and my assessment is that it's COMPLETELY non-sensical, very confusing. I was unable to make a playlist either. So I have no solution, but would suggest GSPlayer as a very good (even superior) alternative to WMP10(and it's free...)
Ok, Ive been doing some research. The Now Playing playlist is a temporary playlist that includes all music that you queue.
You cant create permanent playlists within WMP PPC, you can only sync the playlist from a desktop/laptop to the PPC. Supposedly you sync the PPC to your desktop (via Activesync), then go into WMP10 or later on the desktop (previous versions will not work!), there is then a Sync feature that allows you to copy audio/video/playlists from the desktop to the PPC.
I've tried to sync playlists via the desktop WMP10. It brought all the songs over, but didn't create a playlist under "My Playlists".[/QUOTE]
I too tried to create playlists. The music was already on the SD card for my x30. But WMP Desktop will not sync ONLY the playlist, it syncs everything associated with the playlist. So, I deleted everything, synced the playlist (and associated mp3's, but the playlist never shows up. Even after having the library update, no playlists.
Plus, when you are in the WMP on the mobile device, you can only see the title of the song, you can't sort by ANYTHING. How in the he!! can you create a queue? I can only imagine the guys with 1GB cards. It is worse than .dll he!!, it's MEDIA HE!!.

Has anyone figured this out yet? I have tried to use playlists in wmp 10 and have gotten nowhere. I went to Dell, Microsoft, Google and could not find any mention of this very real problem.
I've managed to sync a playlist created in WMP10. You can't just add the playlist to the Sync List, or choose the playlist in the Sync tab. You have to use the Automatic Synchronization feature, which is annoying if you don't want it to be automatic.
On the Sync tab, click "Set up Sync". Tick "Synchronize device automatically" and then choose the playlist you want to synchronize from the list. It should then start to sync it straight away. I'd already copied the music across previously, so only the playlist was copied.
I'm not sure how it would work if you used a USB card reader though (seeing as though WMP would have no idea whether the device had WMP for Pocket PC on it).
Does anyone know a way to get it to sync the playlist (and add it to the My Playlists section on the Pocket PC) without using Automatic Sync?
